ValleyView-Wanaka has adhered to WCAG 2.1 guidelines and has made the necessary adjustments to achieve AA level accessibility. Our website is designed to work seamlessly with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. To achieve this, we have:
- Utilized an Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential accessibility issues, set clear page structures, incorporated descriptive alt text for images, ensured color contrast compliance, minimized the use of motion, and made all multimedia content accessible.
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content
Certain pages on our website may have third-party content that impacts accessibility. We acknowledge a partial compliance with the standard for these pages and are actively working to address these issues.
Accessibility in our physical locations
At our physical locations, we have implemented accessibility arrangements to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access our services as much as the building design allows. This includes accessible parking, entering without a step through the garage. However we do have an internal staircase and no elevator. The groundfloor offers acessibility to all bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor environment and one living/media room. The kitchen and other living area are upstairs with no accessibility for wheelchairs.
